HopToDesk runs on infrastructure certified to ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II, and all connections are end-to-end encrypted. We provide a data-protection page and a Data Processing Agreement for EU and UK customers on request. HopToDesk does not yet hold its own independent SOC 2 or ISO certification. On Windows devices, most admin tasks during a session, including sending Ctrl+Alt+Del to secure-desktop dialogs, dismissing UAC prompts, and managing programs running with elevated permissions, also work in portable mode by selecting Request Elevation from the connection's Actions menu. You can supply admin credentials remotely if the person at the computer doesn't have them. Installing HopToDesk is only required if you want it to run automatically at startup as a background service and accept connections before anyone has logged in (pre-logon access or unattended access across reboots).
